Commander-in-Chief attends graduation ceremony

Manama, Apr. 30 (BNA): Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa attended a graduation ceremony of specialised session for the 6th Royal Mechanised Infantry Battalion at the BDF. On arrival, the BDF Commander-in-Chief was welcomed by BDF Chief of Staff and Commander of the Unit Lieutenant-General Dhiab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi and a number of BDF senior officers. After some Holy Quran verses were recited, the Commander of the 6th Royal Mechanised Infantry Battalion Brigadier-General Shaikh Salman bin Khalid Al Khalifa gave a speech, in which he expressed thanks to Shaikh Khalifa for patronising the ceremony and lauded the exerted efforts by the participants in the session from the BDF and Ministry of Interior, then he presented a briefing on the session's phases and theoretical and practical programmes. The BDF Commander-in-Chief gave a speech, praising the graduates' high morale and the various combat skills they learned at the session and commending the trainers' efforts to reach this high level of efficiency. He wished the graduates every success at getting advanced specialised courses. Then, the BDF Commander-in-Chief presented the graduates with certificates and honoured top achievers. He affirmed the BDF's constant keenness to upgrade the level of its affiliates through providing them with the best training and programmes, aimed at enhancing the efficiency of BDF units and weapons and provide them with advanced equipment to promote the combat readiness and enable BDF weapons and units of performing military duty. The BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa paid an inspection visit to Royal Tank Battalion 15 and was received by the Commander of the Royal Tank Battalion 15 Colonel Ali Said Buraid Al-Mansouri. The BDF Commander-in-Chief was briefed about the unit's latest development plans and advanced technical systems, and inspected its equipment and military preparedness. He stressed BDF's resolve to go ahead with its military plans to ensure the force keeps abreast of the giant strides made in various military fields by supporting and supplying it with cutting-edge combat systems as well as grooming its staff and training them on modern technologies to carry out their duties perfectly. The BDF Commander-in-Chief called on everyone to exert every efforts in serving Bahrain under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He was accompanied by BDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant-General Dhiab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi and a number of senior BDF officers.
