Commander: Navy Attains Self-sufficiency In Meeting Domestic Needs

Tehran, Nov 3, IRNA – Commander of the Navy Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari announced that his force has attained self-sufficiency in meeting its requirements. “Today due to the Islamic Revolution, faith and belief in the supreme jurisprudence , the Navy has reached self-sufficiency,” Admiral Sayyari said, addressing the induction ceremony of the new chancellor and commander of Imam Khomeini Naval Sciences University. The Iranian Navy Commander pointed to making the warships move by Navy’s experts as achievements of the revolution and the Islamic Republic system, and reiterated, “Before the revolution, the Navy did not have such a position.” Admiral Sayyari pointed to the status of Imam Khomeini Naval Science University, and said, “This university is in fact the most important place for the Navy because it guarantees the future of Navy commanders.”/end
