CONFERENCE FOR DIPLOMATIC TIES ANNIVERSARY RUNS

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On occasion of the 60th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, a scientific conference titled “Sixty years of friendly relations and cooperation” was held Tuesday in Ulaanbaatar. The conference convened Z.Bayanselenge MP, a head of the Mongolia-Vietnam inter-parliamentary group; D.Gankhuyag, the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs; Fang Dang Duong, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Mongolia; Wo Khanh Vinh, a vice president of the Vietnam’s Academy of Sciences; and others. Ms Bayanselenge made the opening remarks, congratulating the gathered on the anniversary. She emphasized that the bilateral relations and cooperation have been develop in many spheres, and said she will focus great attention on boosting Mongol studies in Vietnam. Mentioning about a cooperation contract between the Academy of Sciences of Mongolia and Vietnam’s Academy of Social Sciences, Ms Bayanselenge expressed a satisfaction with reviving between them collaboration. Then the sides exchanged views on possibilities to develop the cooperation in industry, mining, energy, infrastructure, roads, construction, marine transport, seaport and agriculture spheres. Mongolia and Vietnam established the diplomatic relations on November 17 of 1954.
