Constructive interaction with the world is key to progress: Iranian President

TEHRAN,June 21(MNA) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that progress and development cannot be achieved without having constructive interaction with the world. “An interaction with the world is not equal to giving up the country’s dignity and independence, rather it is the prudence to solve people’s problems,” Rouhani said at a conference in the western province of Lorestan on Thursday. He also noted that today the world has seen a new picture of Iran, adding that the country requires social peace to achieve development. Elsewhere in his remarks, Rouhani said, “Our direction is toward achieving a win-win outcome for Iran. Over the past 10 months, the government succeeded to uphold the Iranian nation’s interests across the region and the world, and could gradually eliminate the grounds for sanctions.” The president went on to say that as the public image of Iran has totally changed compared to the past, scores of investors and entrepreneurs have announced eagerness for investment in the Islamic Republic. President Rouhani added that the country’s 20-year Outlook Plan requires the establishment of constructive interaction with the world, adding, “We want good relations with all countries of the world, especially the neighboring countries.
