CONSULTATION RUNS FOR STATE AUDIT ORGANIZATIONS

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A consultation for administrative officers of state audit organizations was held February 18-20 in the State House. Among the gathered were a chief advisor to the Speaker of parliament S.Lambaa, a secretary-general of the Parliamentary Office B.Boldbaatar, and Auditor-General of Mongolia A.Zangad. They took the floor to address managers of the state audit bodies. Conveying a greeting from the Speaker, S.Lambaa gave details about an amendment to the law on state audit, passed last year, and expressed views on the audit activities’ changes in conjunction with the law’s amendment. The Auditor-General A.Zangad mentioned a rise in the action indicators for 2012 and increase in types of the audit performed, and emphasized that human developmental matters will play a vital role in the organizational and systemic reforms of the audit bodies. He also underlined an importance of resolving some matters on reforming the higher education system for preparing professional auditors. The participants discussed issues of civil participation in audit, decentralization of budget, structure and functions of state audit bodies, their reforms, financing and staffers.
