Cuban Diplomat: Iran Like Cuba, Victim Of Terrorism

Tehran, Sept 17, IRNA – Cuban Ambassador to Tehran Vladimir Gonz?lez Quesada said on Monday that Iran like Cuba is a victim of terrorism. Addressing a meeting titled Cuban 5, US Invasion, held in Tehran on Monday, Quesada said Cuba has over the past 50 years been a victim of terrorism. He said that unfortunately the five Cubans have been languishing in US jails for long years for their campaign against terrorism and defending their country and government. He said the aim of holding the meeting is forming a global campaign to secure release of the people who are in the US prisons unfairly. Quesada said Cuba has always been the target of heavy attacks by the US, adding that the Republic of Cuba has been under pressure from the US for the past 50 years, being subject to different kinds of sanctions, especially economic ones. “Undoubtedly, the economic sanctions leave unfavorable impact on our country’s conditions,” he said./end
