Cypriot leaders schedule more meetings before New York summit with UN chief

LEFKOSA (A.A) - November 16, 2011 - Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot leaders on Wednesday gathered in their reunification talks for the first time since their summit meeting with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon end of last month. Turkish President Dervis Eroglu and Greek Cypriot leader Demetris Christofias agreed to hold seven more meetings before another summit gathering with the UN chief, the Turkish Cypriot president told reporters. Eroglu said they had also agreed on the methods of their meetings including two rounds of shuttle diplomacy before the second New York meeting this coming January.       "We will begin discussing negotiation chapters in detail on November 28, and we will make proposals and counter proposals to bridge our differences," Eroglu said.
