CZECH AMBASSADOR PRESENTS LETTER OF CREDENCE

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The President Ts.Elbegdorj has underlined Mongolia and the Czech Republic have long-year traditional and friendly relations, and that the countries both have successfully overcome difficulties and challenges after transmitting to the democracy and the market economy. Ts.Elbegdorj told it on Wednesday to Ms Ivana Gorollova after she had presented him the diplomatic credentials. He pointed out that the two countries have widened their relations and cooperation in the trade, economics, investments and educational sectors since the establishment of the diplomatic relations. Developing of the cooperation with the European Union, including the Czech Republic, is one of the essential goals of Mongolia's foreign policy, he said. Mongolia is a reliable friend and partner of Czech in Asia, and Mongolia has been developing the relations and cooperation with Czech, considering it one of the "Third neighbours," the President said. "We want to expand the cooperation with the Czech Republic in introducing EU standards and criteria to Mongolia and in studying experience of Czech," he said and thanked the Czech side for its regular official assistance, emphasizing a role of the Ambassador in maintaining the size of this official assistance and in exploiting the aid for fruitful matters. In turn, Ms Gorollova expressed her satisfaction with being appointed the Ambassador to Mongolia. She said she will do all her best to bring the bilateral ties into a newer level and to increase the bilateral trade turnover. Then the sides exchanged views on augmenting Czech investments, developing the cooperation in the defense sector, collaborating in the biggest projects, and taking support from the Czech side in establishing the EU's Representative Office in Mongolia.
