Daily praises Iran gov't for acting prudently on N-issue

Tehran, Nov 15, IRNA - 'Iran Daily' on Saturday praised the government for acting prudently on the N-issue by advancing cautiously and refraining from making hasty decisions. A large segment of problems plaguing Iran’s society stems from the unfair sanctions imposed by arrogant powers on the nation over its nuclear energy program. The illegal sanctions have targeted both the government and ordinary citizens putting them under tremendous pressure, pointed out the English-language paper in its Opinion column. Despite the fact that the country has been under various types of embargos for several years, Iran has advanced successfully, underscored the paper. However some sets of sanctions have posed serious obstacles in certain areas, slowing down progress. The lifting of these sanctions through a diplomatic solution and targeted negotiations is a major demand of the people, it noted. The government of President Hassan Rouhani has fully understood the people’s demand and is now on the right track to fulfill it. Before the incumbent government, nuclear negotiations with world powers were not focused on key issues, but now they are and Iranian negotiators are determined to both safeguard the nations’ nuclear right and to bring down the wall of cruel sanctions. All affairs related to these crucial issues should be tackled through wisdom — that’s what logic dictates since the country is going through a critical situation which cannot be ignored. Security is now the most important issue in the world and the P5+1, the US in particular, have no way but make concessions in talks and cooperate for the sake of Middle East security. Iran is the major power in the region and without it, no security can be sustained, it added. An ideal opportunity exists and it should be grasped. Everyone should step forward to help the government succeed in nuclear talks. There are strong indications that negotiations would bear fruit, the paper believes. The government is doing its best to address the people’s basic problems and has taken remarkable steps but it should be noted that things cannot be rectified overnight, the paper wrote in conclusion.
