Dean Of Karachi Medical And Dental College Shot Dead

Islamabad, Feb 18, IRNA -- Dean of Karachi Medical and Dental College Professor Javed Iqbal Qazi was killed in a targeted attack on Monday afternoon, local media reported. Qazi’s driver was also injured and is in critical condition with two bullet wounds. The attack took place in Block M of North Nazimabad where the college campus is located. Four unidentified attackers on two motorcycles shot at his car as he left the college campus. Professor Qazi’s injured driver was taken to Abbasi Shaheed hospital. The professor was first taken to the Ziauddin Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. His body was then transferred to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. No group has yet claimed responsibility of the attack.
