Defense Minister meets Ambassador of Germany

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Minister of Defense Ts.Tsolmon Tuesday received Mr Gerhard Thiedemann, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG) to Mongolia. Expressing his satisfaction with the Ambassador of Germany that has wide cooperation with Mongolia in the defense sector, the Minister exchanged views with Mr Thiedemann on the bilateral cooperation and its further tendency. Mr Tsolmon noted that the two countries organized some events in the defense field in frames of marking the 40th anniversary of the bilateral diplomatic relations celebrated in 2014, and underlined that joint service of Mongolian and German troops in the UN peacekeeping operation in Afghanistan confirmed the bilateral cooperation reached a high level. The Minister mentioned that the defense sector plays a main role in the Mongolia-Germany relations, and then expressed willingness to forward a level of the cooperation.
