Defense officials participate in Xiangshan forum

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolian delegation led by the Vice Minister of Defense A.Battor attended the Xiangshan international forum on Security which was held in Beijing on November 21-22. This bi-yearly track-2 defense forum is organized by Academy of Military Sciences of China. The forum gathered defense chiefs and scholars of countries in Asia and the Pacific who discussed issues of regional security environment, maritime security and cooperation against terrorism. This year’s forum was held in track-1.5 because it included representatives of governments of Asian countries. The state advisor and the Minister of Defense of the PRC Chang Wanquan opened the forum by presenting a paper themed "Chinese military and the Security of Asia and the Pacific". A Deputy chief of the General Staff of People’s Liberation Army of China Wang Guang Zhong met with the Vice Minister of Defense A.Battor to exchange opinions on regional security.
