Demonstrators Stress Liberation Of Holy Quds

Tehran, Aug 18, IRNA – Demonstrators, participating in the World Quds Day rallies on Friday, renewed commitment to liberate the Holy Quds from the evil rule of the Zionist regime. They announced their allegiance in a statement, adopted simultaneously nationwide on Friday at the end of massive rallies, held on the occasion of the global Holy Quds Day. In the statement, demonstrators voiced support to the cause of the Holy Quds and the Intifada of the oppressed Palestinian nation and expressed disgust at the occupying Zionist regime and its supporters. The statement said that 33 years after designation of the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as the Holy Quds Day by the Late Founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini, the cause of liberation of the holy place has transcended borders of the Islamic world, reaching the very depth of the geopolitical zone dominated by the world hegemony. It said the Zionist regime has already forgotten its dream of creating a state spanning from Nile to Euphrates now that it is surrounded by the waves of Islamic awakening. Demonstrators stressed the liberation of the Holy Quds and said the Iranian nation looked at destruction of the Zionist regime, the exit of the Zionists from the occupied lands, return of homeless Palestinians to their homeland and holding of an inclusive referendum as the only solution to the Palestinian problem. They called on the Egyptian government to speed up the destruction trend of the illegitimate Zionist regime. They also referred to the Palestinian cause as the first priority of the Islamic world and voiced support for the Islamic awakening wave in northern Africa and the Middle East. Participants in the World Quds Day rallies further said the situation in Syria was the result of a joint plot by the hegemonic powers and certain backward Arab countries to break the anti-Zionist resistance front in the Islamic world. The statement also condemned massacre of Muslims in Myanmar and called on international organizations to break their silence and indifference to stop the brutal treatment of Muslims which is absolutely against human rights./end
