Deputy FM appreciates cooperation of Russia and China with Iran on Syria

Tehran, Nov 18, IRNA – Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, on Monday appreciated cooperation of the Chinese and Russian governments on Syria. He made the remark in a meeting with Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Guo Ping Cheng and head of the Central Politburo of the Chinese Communist Party Meng Jianzhu. Underlining Iran's influential role in regional developments and good cooperation among Iran, China and Russia on the Syrian crisis, the Chinese Vice-Foreign Minister proposed regular consultations with the Islamic Republic of Iran on the regional issues. He said his country plans contribution to reconstruction of Syria and Iraq. Referring to the Iranian nuclear dispute with the western governments, the Chinese official said Iran is entitled to peaceful use of nuclear energy. He said that China is looking for final accord between Iran and the G5+1 and lifting of sanctions./end
