Deputy FM: Claim Of Iran's Interference In Region, Baseless

Tehran, Jan 2, IRNA – Deputy Foreign Minister in Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said claim of Iran's interference in the region is 'baseless'. He continued that Iran's strategy for all countries in the region is friendship, good-neighborly relations and reciprocal respect. Amir-Abdollahian added that unfortunately those who claim that Iran interferes in the region, have dispatched armored vehicles and military forces in Bahrain or are supporting terrorists in Syria. Criticizing continuation of suppressing and massacring people in Bahrain and using killing chemical gases there while its people are demanding their needs peacefully, claims on Iran's interference there is baseless, fake and insulting to Bahrain people. He stressed that problems in Bahrain and Syria have only political solutions, adding that continuation of existing situation in Bahrain is violation of human rights and will endanger regional security./end
