Deputy FM Condemns Turkeyˈs Blasts

Tehran, May 12, IRNA – Deputy Foreign Minister in Asia and Pacific Affairs Abbas Araqchi condemned blasts in the city of Reyhanli, Turkey, and expressed sympathy with Turkeyˈs nation. Araqchi called the attacks as ˈbarbaric terrorist crimesˈ, which target just ordinary people and is condemned everywhere in the world. The senior diplomat stressed that confrontation with terrorism is a shared obligation of all countries and it is hoped that terrorism can be uprooted everywhere through cooperation between all governments. Several blasts rocked Reyhanli town in the southern province of Hatay on Saturday, with Interior Minister Muammar Guler telling Turkish media that they were caused by car bombs. The minister said that two vehicles packed with explosives detonated near the town’s post office and municipality. Some 29 injured were in critical conditions, Guler also said./end
