Deputy FM Hails Iran, South Africa Geo-strategic Positions

Tehran, June 16, IRNA – The geo-strategic positions of Iran and South Africa provide proper grounds for promotion of bilateral relations between the two capitals, said Deputy Foreign Minister for Afro-Arab Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on Monday. He stressed that expansion of Tehran-Pretoria relations would help restore peace and security. The diplomat made the remarks in a ceremony marking the 20th anniversary of Iran-South Africa relations. Supporting pro-democracy moves by world countries including South Africa, is one of the major principles of Tehranˈs foreign policy, he said.
