Deputy FM: Iran Ready To Expand Ties With Ivory Coast

Tehran, Sept 18, IRNA – Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian underlined Islamic Republic of Iran’s preparedness to cooperate with the African state of Ivory Coast in different house construction, technical and health sectors. “Iran is also ready to train diplomats of Ivory Coast, expand cooperation between the two countries’ private sectors, including chambers of commerce, holding Ivory Coast’s cultural week in Tehran and vice versa as well as joint cooperating in auto sector,” the Iranian deputy foreign minister said in a meeting with Ivory Coast’s Acting Foreign Minister Claude Becke Dassi in Tehran on Tuesday. The Ivory Coast’s acting foreign minister, for his part, expressed gratitude over his visit to Tehran, and voiced his country’s readiness to hold joint Iran-Ivory Coast joint commission in early 2014. Claude Becke Dassi also invited Amir Abdollahian to visit Abidjan in a bid to pave the grounds for holding Iran-Ivory Coast joint commission there. The two top diplomats pointed to existing potentials of Iran and Ivory Coast in different sectors, and called for the further expansion of all-out relations between the two countries, especially boosting the level of Tehran-Abidjan economic ties./end
