Deputy FM: Resistance, Only Way For Confronting Sanctions

Ilam, March 5, IRNA – Deputy Foreign Minister in Parliamentary and Consular Affairs Hassan Qashqavi said here Monday resistance under the guidance of Supreme Leader of Revolution and policies of IRI President is the sole way for effective confrontation with sanctions. According to IRNA, Qashqavi who was speaking at the weekly session of Ilam Province Administrative Council further emphasized, ˈThe path of sanctions must be well paved to lead us towards independence, self-sufficiency, greater prosperity, and defeat of enemies, as the main objectives and strategy.ˈ He added, ˈThe enemies of the system have eventually resorted to the sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran and increased their economic pressure, but the brave Iranian nation has thus far remained staunchly resistant and maintained its permanent presence at various scenes, declaring their fidelity for and defense of the Islamic revolution and the Islamic Republic.ˈ He said that a clear sign of that presence is the millions-strong presence of the nation at the nationwide rallies marking the victory of the Islamic Revolution on Bahman 22nd (Feb 10th), adding, ˈThe peopleˈs presence at the ceremonies marking the victory of the Islamic Revolution in entire provinces was doubled this year compared to the previous year.ˈ The deputy foreign minister reiterated, ˈThe faithful Iranian nation deserves to be dully served, respected, and revered, and solving the problems of the people should be the highest priority of the system officials and programmers.ˈ Qashqavi emphasized, ˈCommemorating and highly respecting the people and those who refer to the administrative organs for different matters must become a blessed habit for the entire executive organs in the country.ˈ He asked the system officials to heed the serious concern of the Supreme Leader and the President, to further strengthen the spirit of spirituality, and fundamentalize attachment to religious values in their behavior regarding serving the nation and to spare no effort in that respect./end
