DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER OF SLOVAKIA VISITING MONGOLIA

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At the invitation of U.Enkhtuvshin, Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia, Peter Pellegrini, Deputy Prime Minister for Investments and Informatization of Slovakia is paying a working visit to Mongolia. The working visit began on November 28 as Deputy Prime Minister U.Enkhtuvshin welcomed his Slovakian counterpart to the country on the central square. The sides held a bilateral meeting in the State House following the ceremony. Deputy Prime Minister U.Enkhtuvshin remarked on the size of the Slovakian visiting group, expressing Mongolia’s confidence that the visit will give stimulus to further intensification of bilateral relations. The Deputy Prime Minister also expressed Mongolia’s interest to expand bilateral ties in trade, economy, food, agriculture, information technology and education sectors. Deputy Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini noted that the visit is an indication of the importance attached to Slovakia’s relations with Mongolia. The Deputy Prime Minister reiterated Slovakia’s interest to intensify bilateral cooperation in food, agriculture, information technology and geological spheres. “There are plenty of opportunities for exchanging experience and cooperating on introduction of leading technologies from Slovakia to Mongolia,” he said. The Slovakian delegation includes Peter Ziga, Minister of Economy, Peter Kazimir, Minister of Finance and representatives of some agencies, banks and businesses. The schedule of the working visit includes a Mongolia-Slovakia Business Forum and signing of an Intergovernmental Agreement on Economic Cooperation between the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Slovakian Ministry of Economy, reported the Cabinet’s Press and Communications Division.
