Desecration Of Holy Shrine In Syria, Inhuman, Savage Act : Larijani

Tehran, May 5, IRNA – Speaker of the Iranian Parliament (Majlis) Ali Larijani said Sunday that desecration of the holy shrine of Prophet Mohammadˈs (PBUH) companion in Damascus, Syria, was an ˈinhuman, anti-Islamic and savage actˈ. Larijani said destruction of Hujr bin Uday al-Kindi shrine near Damascus has indicated ˈmental disorder of Syrian terrorists and those of some reactionary countriesˈ. A number of Syrian terrorists have recently attacked the Udayˈs shrine and exhumed his body. Uday, a companion of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is widely revered by Muslims, particularly Shiites. Addressing Majlis open session this morning, Larijani said tragic events of the past week in Syria have revealed ˈclear motivesˈ of the US and Zionist regime in the region.
