DFM: G5+1 Must Show Goodwill In Upcoming Talks With Iran

Tehran, Feb 20, IRNA – Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Tuesday that the G5+1 should show goodwill in upcoming nuclear talks with the Islamic Republic of Iran. On the threshold of the upcoming talks between Iran and G5+1 in Kazakhstan, he said this round of talks should be different from the previous ones. He made the remarks on the sidelines of the conference on ˈIran and Regional Cooperation in Eurasiaˈ held in Tehran. ˈˈˈWe have to be patient to see attitude of the other side in the upcoming talks,ˈ he said. Asked to predict the outcome of the upcoming Almaty nuclear talks on February 26, he said diplomats never get disappointed with negotiations. He declined to answer a question about new proposal may be put forward to Iran in the upcoming talks in Kazakhstan, and said that there can be no judgment before negotiations and hearing new proposals. Talks between Iran and G5+1 in Kazakhstan is a one-day event but it could be extended if needed, he said./end
