Dialog Only Means To Iran-West Dispute: Ireland Envoy

Tehran, Dec 9, IRNA – New Ireland Ambassador to Iran Oliver Grogan said on Saturday that dialog is the only means to resolve the dispute between Iran and the the Western governments. He made the remarks in a meeting with Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi to submit copy of his credentials. He conveyed greetings of his country's foreign minister to Salehi and said that Ireland is ready to promote cooperation with Iran in all fields. "Ireland government and nation respect Iran as a country with a great history and civilization," he said. Salehi, for his part, referred to excellent ties between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Ireland and hoped that the two countries will witness further development of ties in all fields during tenure of the new envoy. He recalled Iran's extensive capacities to boost bilateral ties, especially in the field of trade and economic cooperation with Europe. Salehi added that Iran is always ready to promote ties with the European states based on mutual respect./end
