DPRK Will Turn into Developed Socialist State: Int'l Body Figure

Pyongyang, September 25 (KCNA) -- Radio Sputnik of Russia reported an interview of its journalist and Alejandro Cao de Benos, chairman of the Korean Friendship Association headquartered in Spain on Sept. 8. It said: The chairman told the journalist that he became a supporter to the DPRK, being fascinated by the Juche idea founded by President Kim Il Sung and the idea put up by the DPRK. The DPRK will in the future become a very developed and future-oriented socialist state, he said, noting that the Korean peninsula should be reunified in the spirit of the joint declarations adopted and published at the historic north-south summits. He went on: Like other countries, the DPRK, too, has the right to protect its territory and nation. The DPRK's nuclear weapons are self-defensive ones from A to Z. If it had had no access to nuclear deterrence, it would have been just like Iraq and Libya long ago. All accusations against the DPRK were produced by the U.S. Only when the U.S. occupation of south Korea that has lasted for more than half a century ends, the situation on the Korean peninsula can be stable. -0-
