DPRK's Holiday Marked Abroad

Pyongyang, October 26 (KCNA) -- Russia, Norway, Sweden, Angola and Mali organized celebrations, round-table talks, photo and book exhibitions and reading sessions between Sept. 30 and Oct. 8 on the 71st anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK). Displayed at the venues of the exhibitions were photos dealing with the revolutionary activities of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un. Also on display there were their works, and books and photos introducing the struggle of the service personnel and people of the DPRK. Personages of the Maritime Territorial Regional Committee of the "A Just Russia" said Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il developed the WPK into an ever-victorious party backed by the popular masses. They stressed that the WPK has reliably protected socialism, invariably pursued people-oriented policies and stepped up the building of an economic power for a long period in the face of the sanctions of the U.S. and its vassal forces. The chairman of the Ostfold County Committee of the Communist Party of Norway said that the WPK has protected the country's sovereignty and led to victory the Korean people's struggle for socialist construction for decades since its founding, adding: We will as ever extend invariable support and solidarity to the just cause of the Korean party and people. The chairperson of the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association noted that the WPK, the party of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, has shaped its way and advanced it independently and creatively for over 7 decades and accomplished the ideological and volitional unity and cohesion of the whole Party. Congratulatory messages to Kim Jong Un were adopted at the events held in Norway and Sweden. -0-
