Dy FM Calls For Expansion Of Iran-Ethiopia Ties

Tehran, Sept 6, IRNA -- Deputy Foreign Minister and his special envoy Amir Mansour Borqaei on Wednesday called for expansion Iran-Ethiopia ties in various fields. He made the remarks in a meeting with Ethiopian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Berhane GebreKristos. Borqaei as a President's especial envoy participating in Ethiopian Prime Minister Males Zenavi's funeral the condolences of President Ahmadinejad, the Iranian government and nation to the Ethiopian government and nation on the demise of the late prime minister. He also expressed Iran's readiness to strengthen cooperation with Ethiopia in various fields based on mutual respect. He underlined the need for mutual consultations and continued exchange of views between the two countries' officials for further expansion of cooperation and solving regional and international issues. Gebre Kristos thanked the Iranian government and nation for their expression of sympathy and described Iran as a great and independent state with great and brilliant history and civilization.
