Dy FM: Iran-Central Asian Countries Ties, Growing

Tehran, March 14, IRNA - Deputy Foreign Minister for Asian, Pacific and Centeral Asian countries affairs Seyyed Abbas Araghchi on Tuseday described Iran’s relations with Central Asian and Caucasus countries as being at a favorable level and growing. He told IRNA that, any normal relationship faces ups and downs as well as some obstacles, but both sides' good will help remove such barriers. “Undoubtedly exchange of diplomatic delegations at different levels can be effective in this regard,” Araghchi said. He said, there are many opportunities for establishment of ties with those countries based on mutual understanding and respects, hence Iran has always been seeking to find ways of expanding ties with them. The deputy minister said Central Asian countries historically, culturally, politically and economically have special status in Iran’s foreign policy because they are somehow in the realm of Iran's rich civilization./end
