Tehran, Oct 23, IRNA – Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian met with Russian President Vladimir Putin's Special Envoy Mikhail Bogdanov here on Wednesday. The meeting was in the framework of constant consultations between the two sides on the issues of west Asia and north Africa. In the meeting, the two sides underlined necessity of political solution for Syria crisis and fight against terrorism in Syria and Iraq and called terrorism in the Middle East as a source of threat and insecurity in the world. The two officials said measures outside international laws and unilateral acts of the USA are elements for escalation of radicalism in the region. Underlining danger of terrorist and Takfiri groups in the region, Amir Abdollahian expressed doubt and suspicion about real intention of the USA in fight against terrorism and called the US interference in the region as one of the most important elements for growth of terrorism. The two sides also underlined necessity of continuation of bilateral consultations on the regional issues and commitment to fight against terrorism and helping establish stability in the Middle East region.
