Dy FM: Zionist Regime Intends To Make Resistance Surrender

Tehran, Aug 4, IRNA – Deputy Foreign Minister in Arab and African Affairs said that the Zionist regime, by killing children in Gaza, is to make resistance surrender. Hussein Amir-Abdullahian, in an interview with IRIB Channel 2, said the Zionist regime, by a wrong analysis of developments in Syria, Egypt and north of the Middle East, calculated that the Islamic countries have no harmony on Palestine issue, so it started to massacre the Palestinian people in Gaza. He noted that after facing with strong reaction of the resistance, the regime tries to force resistance to surrender by killing children and bombardment of the UN schools and hospitals. Today, after six decades, we witness that resistance has reached a stages that aims strategic targets in depth of occupied territory. Unfortunately, the dominant situation in Islamic states and efforts of a number of political, religious leaders and senior officials in the Arab and Islamic countries allow the Zionist regime to commit the crimes. He said certain groups which pretend to be Muslims and issued fatwa on developments in Syria, Iraq and Lebanon, now are silent, while Iran has supported Palestinians. Some of them wrongly claim that Iran is behind conflicts between Shia and Sunni Muslims. Since the beginning of the crisis, President Hassan Rouhani had contacts with leaders of different countries and issued a statement as head of Non-Aligned Movement states. Amir-Abdullahian explained that Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif had contacted with Egyptian counterpart to transfer injured Palestinian children and women to Iran, but we have not received any answer, yet./end
