MOSCOW, December 17. /TASS/. It is early to speak on Iran’s participation in the inter-Syrian negotiations which may be held in Moscow in late January, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said on Wednesday. “Tehran will support any idea of holding contacts between the government of Syria and various opposition groups,” Abdollahian said. “It is still early to speak on Iran’s participation in this dialogue,” he said. “This issue needs to be discussed,” Abdollahian said. The diplomat said Moscow and Tehran will continue supporting Syria and “this is the most important moment.” He stressed that “one needs to travel a long way to discuss the details of the issue of contacts between the government and the opposition.” Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov said on Tuesday the idea of holding the talks in Moscow remains on the agenda and Russia hopes it will be implemented.
