Egyptian Official: NAM Duty Is To Resolve Problems Of Weak States

Tehran, Aug 28, IRNA – Visiting Deputy Foreign Minister of Egypt Ramzy Ezzedine said here Tuesday that members of the Non-Aligned Movement should prepare the grounds for resolving crises in weak countries trough joint talks. Ezzedine made the remarks in his speech to the opening session of the two-day ministerial meeting of the NAM's 16th Summit. He urged NAM members to focus on joint objectives to help weak countries out of their ongoing crises. Ezzedine stressed that NAM should particularly focus on the issue of Palestine in order to restore the violated rights of the Palestinian nation and help them establish an independent state. At the opening session of the NAM ministerial meeting, Egypt handed over the foreign ministerial presidency to Iran./end
