Emergency Landing Of Afghanistan Alliance Forces In Bandar Abbas Confirmed

Bandar Abbas, Hormuzgan Province, Sept 6, IRNA – An informed source in Hormuzgan Airport confirmed emergency landing of a rented plane by the Afghanistan coalition forces in Bandar Abbas on Friday. The source declined to present more details. Washington Post Daily had reported earlier that the plane belongs to ˈFly Dubaiˈ company which was rented by the Afghanistan coalition forces and was flying from Bagram Base in Afghanistan to Dubai with 100 passengers. Iranian fighters intercepted the plane and warned it to leave Iranˈs aerospace, but captain of the plane declared it does not have enough fuel, so it landed in Bandar Abbas Airport. New York Times also quoting a US government official wrote that landing of the plane in Iran is not a matter of concern and it was because of a technical or administrative problem, which would be settled soon. A spokesperson of the UAE embassy in Washington D.C. confirmed the issue, but said that he has no more information./end
