Enemies Of Iran-Pakistan Behind Saravan Killing: Analyst

Islamabad, Oct 30, IRNA - A Pakistani analyst on Wednesday said that enemies of Iran and Pakistan are behind killing of Iranian border guards by armed bandits. Talking to IRNA, Syed Qandil Abbas, assistant Professor of International Relations at Quaid-e-Azam University said that Iran and Pakistan are two brotherly countries and both are aware of western conspiracies against them. Some 14 Iranian border guards were killed in heavy clashes with terrorists in the southeastern province of Sistan-Baluchestan Friday night. Iran has already protested to Pakistani government over negligence of terrorist movements on joint borderlines. Abbas said that terrorism started spreading here after Pakistan supported the US led war in Afghanistan. He said that Pakistan, itself, is a victim of terrorism and is making great efforts to stop terrorist activities. Abbas said that involvement of foreign spying agencies cannot be ruled out in the act. “Enemies of Iran and Pakistan are trying to sow discord between the two close neighbors,” he said. He stressed that some countries are against Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project that is why they are trying to create dispute between the two countries. He was of the opinion that leadership of both Iran and Pakistan are fully aware of the conspiracies of enemies and can resolve their internal issues through dialog./end
