Enrichment Suspension, Not A New Issue : Araqchi

Tehran, June 26, IRNA – The issue of suspending 20-percent uranium enrichment is not something new and has already been discussed by Iran P5+1 during the past talks, the Foreign Ministry spokesman said here Tuesday. Abbas Araqchi made the remarks in reaction to the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrovˈs statement about the issue. Talking to reporters at his weekly press conference, Araqchi said talks on enrichment suspension go back to before Iranˈs June 14 presidential election. It is likely to be discussed during next round of negotiations between Iran and the Group 5+1- the US, Britain, France, Russian and China plus Germany, he said. About relations between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Araqchi said the two have technical disagreement./end
