Equal rights, pragmatism, mutual respect basic Eurasian Economic Union principles - Putin

MOSCOW, December 4. /TASS/. Equal rights, pragmatism and mutual respect, preservation of national originality and state sovereignty of all member states of the Eurasian Economic Union are basic principles of this grouping coming into being on January 1, 2015, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in an annual state-of-the-nation address to Russia’s parliament, the Federal Assembly, on Thursday. “I am convinced that close co-operation will become a strong source for development of all members of the Eurasian Economic Union,” the head of state said. “A healthy family and a healthy nation, traditional values passed to us from our ancestors in line with a look into the future, stability as a precondition of progress, respect to other peoples and states with guaranteed ensuring of Russian security and protection of its legitimate interests are our priorities,” the Russian leader said to applause of the audience.
