SOCOTRA, 9th November, 2015 (WAM) -- The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, has distributed more than 35 tons of urgent relief aid to the people of the Yemeni island of Socotra, who have been affected by Cyclone Chapala that hit several areas in the region. Dr. Mohammed Ateeq Al Falahi, ERC Secretary-General, said that the emergency aid was organised according to directives of the UAE's wise leadership to provide help and assistance to Yemeni brothers on the island who have been affected by the cyclone. He said that the ERC has provided food, blankets and tents to shelter people affected.
