Establishment of security Iran's regional policy

TEHRAN, Oct. 18 (MNA) – President of Center for Strategic Research underlined that Iran plays a key role in maintaining security in the region. Ali Akbar Velayati praised Iran's efforts regarding the fight against terrorism and said the country's policy is centered on maintaining security and elimination of insecurity in the region. Speaking on the sidelines of Munich Security Conference hosted by the Islamic Republic of Iran on Saturday, Velayati pointed to current deep and wide-spread crises in the Middle East and said, "The crises has rised the most complicated issues resulting in not only human sacrifice but also captivation of their mind and will." "Current conditions imposes everyone to make excuses for not changing the status quo, believing that there is no loophole to let them avoid the imposed reality," Velayati said. He pointed to the emotional, intellectual and behavioral separation at the regional level as important factors providing better conditions for the domination of foreign investors with the participation of impercipient local forces in the region. Bridging regional gaps, he said, is Iran's top political priority which is facilitated through dialogue between communities, political and social authorities. Pointing to the presence of "Zionist regime" in the region, Velayati noted those reactionary countries which comply with policies of the Zionist regime will suffer the same fate. "They will face the hatred of Muslim and revolutionary nations including Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen and Bahrain; their policies will lead to failure," Velayati added. He expressed hope the conference would consider the new concept of security in the new millennium and provide new approaches to fight against terrorism and insecurity faced by countries in the region and around the world.
