EU sanctions on Russia depend on Ukraine developments - Lithuanian president

VILNIUS, July 14 (Itar-Tass) - The European Union has prepared a package of possible tougher sanctions against Russia, but concrete actions will depend on further developments of the Ukrainian crisis, says Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite. “We have decided that imposing the prepared package of economic sanctions will depend on assessment of the situation,” Grybauskaite told journalists on Monday, adding that the issue would be discussed before a meeting of the European Union Council on Wednesday. “I cannot guarantee yet that this or that sector [of the Russian economy] will be added to the sanctions list,” she said.
