European Parliament member: Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway will bring economic and political dividends

Kiev, October 31, AZERTAC “Implementation of Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway will bring the economic and political dividends and contribute to the strengthening of peace and stability in the region,” Latvian MP in the European Parliament Andrey Mamikin has told AZERTAC. “The presidents of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia made every effort to implement this megaproject. Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway will facilitate the cargo transportation, which will contribute to the creation of fruitful economic and commercial ties between Europe and Asia,” the MP said. Mamikin said he believes European and Asian countries will actively use this railroad in the future.
