Every human being admires firefighters' courage, sacrifice

TEHRAN, Jan. 21 (MNA) – Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani extended his condolences to martyred firefighter's family and offered his deep sorrow over the collapse of Placso Commercial Center in Iran's capital, Tehran, following a huge fire. "The tragic incident causing damage, injuries and martyrdom of a group of firefighters was a great grief saddened Iranian nation," he wrote in his message on Friday. He said the courage and sacrifice of firefighters who put themselves at risk during rescue operations and demonstrated mighty effort and dedication makes every single human being praise them by heart and soul. "Brave men fought fire devotedly and their name and fame will remain forever in the memory of the history; they are immortal for Iranian nation," Larijani noted. He also called for an immediate and serious measure to pursue the damages and the conditions of injured reinforcements. Meantime, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi and Iranian Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadegh Amoli Larijani offered condolences to the bereaved families of victims of the fire incident and Iranian nation on the martyrdom of a number of firefighters. Ghasemi praised bravery of firefighters and said may their souls rest in peace.
