Expansion Of Ties With Africa, Iran Priority- VP

Tehran, Aug 7, IRNA – First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri said promotion of relations with African states is a priority of Iran's foreign policy. In a meeting with visiting Sierra Leonean Foreign Minister Samuel Kamara, Jahangiri said relations with the Islamic Republic may lead to development of African countries. He said the two countries enjoy cordial ties, adding they should bolster the current level of trade exchange. For his part, Kamara said his country is ready to boost ties with Iran in all fields, adding Sierra Leone supports Iran's fair stand at international arena. He further hoped Freetown and Tehran would witness broader cooperation under the new President Hassan Rohani./end
