Firouzabadi Appreciates Massive Turnout In Run-off Election

Tehran, May 7, IRNA – Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Major-General Hassan Firouzabadi on Sunday appreciated eye-catching turnout of people in the run-off election of Majlis. He said in a statement that the great nation showed national resolve and it is the turn of officials to be more responsive in administration of the public affairs. He said that the officials must take practical steps to show their responsiveness away from sloganeering. “Iranian officials are expected to adopt mechanism in the government to promote a sense of responsiveness so that when people refer to the government organs, they can make their demands with peace of mind.” He hoped that the officials consider equality in terms of handling demands of people from all walks of life, adding that the High Administrative Council is responsible for publicizing the policies already adopted for offering a responsive administration./end
