First edition of “EgAz” magazine published in Egypt`s Iskandariah city

Baku, March 28 (AzerTAc). Iskandariah-based Egypt-Azerbaijan trade representative office has published the first edition of “EgAz” magazine in Arabic language. The magazine features articles on the Azerbaijan`s history, culture, achievements, public holidays. Azerbaijani Ambassador to Egypt Shahin Abdullayev`s articles on national leader Heydar Aliyev and 20 January tragedy were published in the magazine. The first edition of “EgAz” was dedicated to the Khojaly genocide. It has the article related to the commemorative event held in Ain Shams University and article entitled “Tragedy of the 20th century – Khojaly genocide”. The edition also features an article on political and economic life of Azerbaijan. It highlights the visit of Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas to Azerbaijan, opening of the Palestinian Embassy in Baku, adding Azerbaijan`s support to Palestine in peace talks. The article also features whole text of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev`s speech at the meeting of Cabinet of Ministers to sum up socio-economic results of 2011. The other article by Farid El-Gabali, editor-in-chief of “EgAz” entitled “Ancient nation” underscores historical relations between Azerbaijani and Egyptian people. The author stressed Azerbaijani lands were occupied, adding Egypt will always support Azerbaijan`s fair position.
