First FM Spokeswoman, Female Envoy To Be Named Soon

Tehran, Aug 27, IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Araqchi Tuesday announced that the countrys first ever spokeswoman and female ambassador will be appointed soon. Speaking to reporters at his weekly press conference, he said The next spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry is a female who will be introduced by next week. Araqchi added that his ministry has also decided to send a female ambassador to overseas mission. He said that female diplomats could play effective and successful roles in the field of foreign policy. Araqchi also announced that FM deputies will be appointed soon./end
