First VP, Venezuela President Meet In Bolivia

Tehran, June 16, IRNA - Iranˈs First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri called for promotion of all-out relations with Venezuela on Monday in the Bolivian city of Santa Cruz. Jahangiri made the remarks in a meeting with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on the sidelines of the Group-77 plus China Summit in the Santa Cruz. He stressed that Tehran is ready to enhance mutual relation with Caracas at regional and international levels. Describing this Latin American country as an ally for Tehran, Jahangiri underlined that Iran endorses the legal and legitimate government of Venezuela. He also expressed hope that Iran and Venezuela would fulfill the agreements reached between the two countries. Maduro, for his part, condemned the West for meddling in developing countryˈs internal affairs./end The Venezuelan president also appreciated Iranˈs efforts to materialize the objectives of Group-77 member countries. He also described Iran-Venezuela relations as proper, expressing hope that mutual cooperation would further boost.
