FM Appoints Iranian Ambassador To Mexico

Tehran, May 30, IRNA -- Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi on Tuesday appointed Jalal Kalantari as Iranian Ambassador to Mexico based an endorsement by President Ahmadinejad. Kalantari has previously served as Iranian ambassador to Manila, The Philippines and deputy ambassador in Islamabad, Pakistan. He also served as Foreign Ministry Director-General for the first and second department of West Asia and recently held Presidency of Asia-Pacific Research Center at Institute for Political and International Studies affiliated to the Foreign Ministry./end
