FM: Iran Committed To Help Find Peaceful Solution To Syria Crisis

Tehran, March 16, IRNA – Iran is committed to help finding a peaceful solution to the Syrian crisis, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Saturday. Zarif made the remarks here in a joint press conference with his visiting Greek counterpart, Evangelos Venizelos. “Iran is open to all international mediators including the UN-Arab League Joint Special Representative for Syria, Lakhdar Brahimi.” He noted that “Iran is ready to help find a solution to Syria crisis through political tools and believes that only Syrians themselves should decide their future.” Brahimi is scheduled to arrive at Tehran on Sunday for an official 3-day visit.
