FM Lavrov: Russia will continue efforts towards Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolution

Baku, November 20, AZERTAC “Russia, as one of the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, will continue to work on a peaceful solution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict,” Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a joint press conference with his Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov in Baku. “Russia and Azerbaijan currently enjoy strategic partnership relations. Our countries have cooperation ties in various areas. Today, we have also discussed issues of expanding trade and other spheres,” said the Russian FM. “Russian and Azerbaijan share the same position on the international platforms. We have also talked about the status of the Caspian Sea," Lavrov said. “The Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh problem must be resolved and I believe in diplomatic settlement of the conflict,” the Russian FM added.
