FM In Paris To Discuss Syria, N-issue With Counterpart

Tehran, Nov 5, IRNA – Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif is on a visit to France to discuss major bilateral and international issues, particularly the Syrian crisis and Iran’s nuclear issue with his French counterpart Laurent Fabius, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said on Tuesday. Marziyeh Afkham made the remarks at her weekly press briefing, saying Zarif is in Paris as a special guest to the 37th session of the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) which is to be held in the French capital city from November 5-20. She said Zarif is to address the meeting, adding that his address would be highly significant as it would familiarize the participating delegations with Tehran’s viewpoints on major cultural issues which affect international community. In 2007, Zarif presided the cultural commission of the 34th UNESCO General Conference./end
