FM paying visit to China

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Minister of Foreign Affairs L.Purevsuren is paying an official visit to the People’s Republic of China, invited by his Chinese counterpart Mr Wang Yi. On the first day of the visit, April 1, the Ministers held official talks and exchanged views on the bilateral cooperation in all spheres, and on the regional and global issues. Mr Purevsuren also paid a courtesy call on a Vice president of the PRC Li Yuanchao, met with the Chinese Minister of Commerce and the co-chair of the Mongolia-China intergovernmental commission Gao Hucheng, his counterpart at the commission. During the official talks, the FM expressed a satisfaction with the expansion of Mongolia-China relations in all fields according to the concept of the Agreement on Friendly Relations and Cooperation, and with a deepening political trust, mutual understanding and the upgraded strategic partnerships between the two countries. The sides agreed on a mutual interest in enriching the content of bilateral relations. They highlighted an importance of the constant high-rank interactions, and reached an agreement on some events and visits to take place this year. The dignitaries also affirmed a mutual willingness to work towards implementing the negotiated during Xi Jinping’s state visit to Mognolia last August works regarding transit transport, energy, infrastructure and financial cooperation. The two emphasized an importance of refining the Mongolia and China trade mechanisms and of development of major projects that can result in benefit for the peoples. Highlighting the significance of the Mongolia-China-Russia collaboration, the FMs resolved to carefully consider the matter on establishing Mongolia-China-Russia economic corridor. After the official talks, the FMs called a press briefing and pledged to commemorate together the 70th anniversary of the end of the World War II. Mr Purevsuren, on the sidelines of his visit, is visiting some localities.
